The tale of the Bunnyman originates from Fairfax County, Virginia, and dates back to the 1970s. According to local lore, this mysterious figure is said to wear a bunny costume and has a penchant for targeting unsuspecting passersby near a secluded spot known as Creepy Hollow Road—more commonly referred to as Bunnyman Bridge. The chilling narrative suggests that many years ago, a bus carrying inmates from a nearby asylum crashed. One of the inmates, a man known only as the Bunnyman, escaped into the woods nearby.

In the late 1800s, Sarah Winchester, the widow of firearm magnate William Wirt Winchester, became a recluse after the tragic loss of her husband and their only child. Devastated by grief, she believed that the spirits of those killed by the Winchester rifle were seeking revenge against her family—haunted by the lives taken by the very guns manufactured under her husband's name.
