Shadowbound is a space for dark supernatural romance — where desire is tangled with danger, love turns obsessive, and intimacy carries consequences.

This group exists to explore stories, poems, art, and conversations centred on dark romantic tension shaped by the unreal. The supernatural should be integral to the relationship and its stakes, not merely decorative.

Poetry, short fiction, excerpts, artwork, mood pieces, prompts, and discussion are all welcome here. Participation is always optional, and this space values atmosphere, emotional escalation, power dynamics, longing, obsession, and restraint.

Each month, selected work from the group will be chosen for publication in the Shadowbound monthly magazine. Selection is curated and intentional — this group is not a formal submissions portal.

Content boundaries (non-negotiable)

The following are not allowed:

  • Sexual content involving minors

  • Sexual harm to or involving animals

  • Non-consensual sexual violence, including fetishised or eroticised assault

Dark themes, dangerous attraction, power imbalance, and morally grey relationships are welcome only when consent is clear within the story’s context and the material is handled with intent rather than exploitation.

Shadowbound is for those who enjoy romance that is dark without being careless, sensual without being shallow, and supernatural without losing emotional weight.

Read generously. Respond thoughtfully. Create with purpose. 🖤

👉 Writing Prompt: The Cost of Desire

They were warned that the bond would change them — not metaphorically, but physically, spiritually, or irreversibly. Still, they crossed the line.

Begin with the moment something small goes wrong after an act of intimacy: a shadow that won’t detach, a heartbeat that no longer matches its owner, a mark that wasn’t there before. As the scene unfolds, make it clear that this consequence is tied to desire, not violence.

What does loving this person take from them? What does it give in return — and why is that trade still worth making?

Let the supernatural surface through sensation, emotion, and consequence rather than spectacle.
