This is the Place

The old crone warns to turn away

But our journey lies along the way.

This is the place that’s off the book.

Where the folks all wear the Innsmouth look.

Streets possessed by the ghosts of homes,

In the gloaming shade they rear like tombs.

A Grave Robber's Advice

A cemetery here, a graveyard there.

No difference to any body snatcher

Where their next corpse comes from.

It could be dug up almost anywhere.

Perhaps drunken derelicts swept off

Back steps in rat-infested alleyways.

Cheesy does it

It wasn’t just down to garlic

That the vampires were defeated with ease

It was every aspect of Gallic gastronomy

But especially the excess of cheese

I've been defeated by cheese many times myself. I can relate.
