October's Nightmare Poetry is opening a little early this month as I'm heading away and won't be here to open it at the usual time.

And since Halloween is creeping closer, this month's poetry has a Halloween theme. 👻

Write us something dark, eerie or unsettling inspired by Halloween. Where you take that is completely up to you.

As always, two poems will be selected for publication in the next issue of Dark Descent.

We tried moving things over to Dark Forum, but sometimes you realise the old way simply worked better. So from September, Nightmare Poetry is back here in ShadowSphere where it started.

September’s theme is ready, so let’s see what dark poetry you can come up with. Two poems will be selected for publication in Dark Descent magazine.

He was finally broken

When he received a parking fine

The parking meter had run out
