Hi all, it's P. Ran again coming at you to talk about a podcast I am thoroughly enjoying lately. For anyone interested in listening to some creepy podcasts, I highly recommend listening to Radio Rental. My friend and fellow horror enthusiast recommended I give this a go after first listening to me whine about how often I get stuck not being able to listen to anything of REAL substance, especially while burning the midnight oil (she loves me so!).

Hosted by Rainn Wilson (any House of 1000 Corpses or The Office or fans out there?), he is the host of a radio rental store owner known as Terry Carnation. He explains the double meaning behind the title of the podcast on the very first episode, which instantly interested me because I'm half-Mexican and also grew up with double meanings. So Radio Rental=you've gone mental, but it's also a radio rental store. Get it??

Now, not sure how many of you out there are able to listen to horror stories to put you to bed, but I'm perhaps one of the few people who do this often. Not with this podcast, though! Jam-packed with 8 seasons, each story is played as if they are their own individual tapes (taking it back to the 80s-90s with this one! I miss Block Buster) but are actually real-life stories people narrate for us all to then trauma-bond together with afterwards. Fun, right?? Terry, who is the delightful comic relief of the podcast, also expresses his antics with his store cat, Malachi and other store visitors before or after each story. I can't tell you how many times my emotions went through a wonderful roller coaster because of these two!

There are few things in life that scare me, especially since my own life growing up was horrible...and maybe that's a story for a different day...but some of what the public have to share about what they experience do linger in my mind. Not only are some narrow escapes from the clutches of criminals, but there are plenty of other stories that are just so eerie and mysterious. Yes, there are a lot of Americans on this one, but there are some stories from other countries that are just as concerning and frightening.

Give it a listen and hope it's your cup of tea! I listen through Apple podcast, but you can also see what it's about on IG @Radio Rental.
