We want your most gut-wrenching, spine-tingling tales that shatter the limits of fear and shock!
• Free Submissions—Support the Dark Arts! We are dedicated to showcasing every twisted tale you have to offer. While submissions are free, your generous donations help us keep the doors open for more chilling stories and ensure fair pay for our talented writers. What We Offer:

• Payment: We pay £50.00 for every story published.

• First Publishing Rights: Upon acceptance, Dark Holme Publishing acquires the exclusive right of first publication for your story. Copyright remains with the author, allowing for future exploration of the work in other mediums.

• Feedback: Due to the high volume of submissions, we do not offer feedback.

• Notification: We aim to notify authors within 8 weeks. Accepted authors will receive a contract via email. If you have not been notified after 8 weeks, please assume your submission was not successful. You are welcome to resubmit another manuscript at that time.

Submission Guidelines:

• Previously Unpublished Work: Only submit stories that have not been published elsewhere (online, magazines, anthologies).
• Formatting: Use a standard manuscript format with a legible font. Please submit your story as a Word document or PDF.
• Additional Information: Include your contact information and a brief bio (100-200 words) in the email body.
• Submission Address: Submit your story and cover letter to Kerry@darkholmepublishing.uk.
• Multiple Submissions: We only accept one submission per author at a time.
• Rolling Submissions: We accept submissions year-round. However, please note that we may occasionally need to temporarily close submissions due to the volume received.
• Publication Date: Authors will be notified of the publication date closer to release.
