They have reasons for what they do. They believe they're making the right choices—even if everyone else sees them as monsters.

This challenge is all about creating an antagonist readers can understand... even if they can't forgive them.

Write a 300–500 word monologue or scene from the perspective of your villain.

Let them explain their actions, justify their decisions, or defend the terrible things they've done.

Your goal isn't to make them likeable—it's to make them believable.

Show the convictions, fears, and motivations that drive them, and let readers glimpse the person behind the monster.
