The Problem with Immortality

Sometimes immortality can really suck. I went to take a little nap for a year or two, but everyone thought I had died. So they buried me in a wooden coffin six feet underground, not knowing I snoozed.

I woke up sealed in the dark, unable to break out. So I waited through the centuries for the coffin lid to rot enough to claw the softened wood aside, and dig to the surface again.

I bought a medical alert bracelet engraved, "Do Not Bury!"

So they cremated me. I escaped the oven. It's a good thing my burns healed fast.
