Flash Fiction Frenzy

I was relieved as the spider backed away into the shadows, its bite having sent paralysing venom through my bloodstream and leaving me unable to move.  Its red eyes stared from the darkness as the silence was interrupted by the pattering of a thousand spiderlings sent to feed.
