Dark Initiate

I’ve started noticing something odd — the less I scroll in the evening, the more satisfied I feel afterward. It sounds backwards, because you’d think more content means more entertainment. But the opposite seems true for me lately. Do you think it’s just burnout from too much content, or is there something about stopping earlier that actually feels better?

I think it’s mostly about overload. When you keep scrolling

your brain never really settles — it’s always comparing, switching, reacting. But when you stop earlier and stick with just a few calm videos, you give yourself space to actually absorb them. I’ve noticed that too much variety in a short time makes everything blur together, and then nothing feels memorable. But when I slow down, even simple clips feel more meaningful. It’s like quality of attention matters more than quantity of content.
